About the Role

Oriental Frame Limited is seeking a dynamic and motivated Bilingual Social Media Manager to join our growing team. This is an exciting opportunity for a professional who is fluent in both Mandarin Chinese and English, with a passion for bridging Eastern and Western markets.

As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in expanding our brand presence both within the UK and among Chinese-speaking communities. You will be responsible for developing and implementing marketing strategies across multiple platforms, coordinating with our suppliers and partners in China, and helping to grow our customer base in the UK market.

This role requires someone who understands both Chinese and British business cultures, is comfortable working across different time zones, and has experience with social media marketing on both Western and Chinese platforms.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute bilingual marketing campaigns targeting both UK customers and Chinese-speaking communities in the UK
  • Manage and grow our presence on Chinese social media platforms including WeChat, Xiaohongshu (RED), and Douyin to reach Chinese diaspora audiences in the UK
  • Create and manage content for UK-based social media channels (Instagram, Facebook, Pinterest) to promote our oriental home products
  • Liaise with suppliers, manufacturers, and business partners in China, ensuring smooth communication and coordination
  • Conduct market research to identify trends in both Chinese and UK markets for oriental-inspired home décor and lifestyle products
  • Translate and localise marketing materials, product descriptions, and business documents between English and Mandarin Chinese
  • Attend trade shows, networking events, and community gatherings to build relationships and promote the brand
  • Support the development of B2B and B2C sales strategies, identifying new business opportunities
  • Assist with customer enquiries in both languages, ensuring excellent customer service
  • Collaborate with the wider team to achieve business objectives and sales targets

Requirements & Qualifications

Essential:
  • •Native or near-native fluency in Mandarin Chinese (written and spoken)
  • •Excellent command of English (written and spoken) - IELTS 7.0 or equivalent
  • •Experience with Chinese social media platforms (WeChat, Xiaohongshu, Douyin)
  • •Understanding of both Chinese and UK business cultures
  • •Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • •Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • •Proficiency in Microsoft Office and basic digital marketing tools
  • •Right to work in the UK
Desirable:
  • •Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or related field
  • •2+ years of experience in marketing, sales, or business development
  • •Experience in the home décor, furniture, or lifestyle retail industry
  • •Knowledge of SEO, PPC, and digital advertising
  • •Experience with e-commerce platforms
  • •Familiarity with UK import/export regulations
  • •Valid UK driving licence
